At 8:57 a.m., a small fire broke out in the 700 wing bathroom near Office E, causing students to evacuate their classrooms.
One of the faculty members, according to Assistant Principal Mr. Reibenschuh, quickly took the fire out before the Fremont Fire Department arrived.

The blaze took extensive damage to the tiles on the floor and other bathroom equipments within the stall. Reibenschuh estimates the cost of the damage to be around $5,000 to $10,000, which includes the bill from the fire department.
The identity of the suspect was not revealed, but “it was purposely set,” Reibenschuh said.
Additionally, the PSAT that was administered today was delayed half an hour, which ruined the entire timing of the test, according to Reibenschuh.
“Some students missed a good portion of their 5th period or lunch,” he said.
By 9:30 a.m., students returned to their classrooms and the school resumed its regular schedule. No injuries were reported.
