On January 6, 2014, Mr. Padway, Geography and U.S. History teacher, announced that he will no longer be a teacher at American High School.
He has taken a position at the Fremont Unified School District as a Social Studies Coach for teachers.
“I am excited to take on this position and make exponential impact,” history teacher Mr. Padway said. “At American I am teaching students, but at the district I will be teaching teachers which is going to benefit both students and teachers of FUSD.”
Mr. Padway is going to be leaving at the end of the semester, Friday, January 24, 2014.
“I am definitely going to miss American,” Mr. Padway said. “I have been here for four years and have met many people that will not be forgotten. The students, staff, and supportive admin will be missed but the thing I will miss the most is the interaction I see between students here at American.” Mr. Padway said.

Mr. Padway has made many contributions to American High School’s campus such as Schoolloop and pushing technology onto our campus.
“I have worked really hard and enjoyed making technology a huge part of this campus,” Mr. Padway said. “I am going to miss working on the Chromebooks and watching the students work on their digital projects because that has been one of the highlights of my career,” Mr. Padway said
Mr Martinez is going to be taking over Mr. Padway’s classroom. He has been coming into his classroom to get familiar with things.
“American High School will always have a sweet spot for me,” Mr. Padway said. “I am sure Mr. Martinez will enjoy the school just as much as I did.”
